Site & Accommodation

Chislehurst Caves, in south-east London, are best known as the regular site of the LRP system Labyrinthe. More info, including maps, directions, facilities, local amenities, etc, can be found in the site info pages.

We have hired the caves overnight, from 8pm Saturday until 8am Sunday, and will be running one long night adventure. There is no accommodation on site, and players should arrange their own nearby.

Arrival and Departure

Those Assiting Only may arrive on site any time from 6pm. Players can arrive from 7pm, and should be ready to play at 8pm. Upon arrival please report to a Ref. Anyone arriving late may have to wait until there is a break in play before they can join the rest of the party. We will finish play at around 7am on Sunday, and would appreciate help packing up as we have to clear the caves by 8am.

Food & Drink

Players should bring their own food and drink - there will be no opportunity or facilities to cook, so please bring packed-lunch style food which you can carry with you and eat on the go. Where possible, please keep food and packaging relatively IC if you intend to eat IC.

Assisting Information

If you are assisting at any point during the event, whether on the Assist Only or Play & Assist ticket, you should ensure you bring some basic kit with you to use when playing monster roles. This should include, at the very least, the following:

  • Costume - simple IC trousers and shirt or other top. You may want to bring something warm and/or waterproof in case the weather turns nasty.
  • Boots - good footwear is essential as there will be a reasonable amount of running over uneven ground. Try to bring boots with good ankle support if possible.
  • Belt - always useful for tying around tabbards or hanging weapons from.
  • Water Carrier - something to carry water in, preferably an IC water skin but a plastic bottle in a bag will do. The weather may be hot and there will be lots of running around.

If you do not have any of these basic items, please let us know in advance as we can then make arrangements for you to borrow them. In addition, if you have them, please bring the following:

  • Weapons - at least one LRP "safe" weapon for use during combat.
  • Armour - any basic armour, leather or metal, which you are happy to use while monstering.

We will have some weapons and armour which we will have available to lend to those who are assisting. We will also have monster-specific costume for you to wear in addition to your basic costume. If you have any other props or costume that you think may come in useful, and which you would be happy to lend to others who are assisting, please feel free to bring them along.
