Ticket Types & Prices

Standard Ticket (£40, +£10 late booking fee if booked less than one month before the event)

This ticket entitles you to play your character for the majority of the event, but we require you to spend some time assisting the referees by playing monsters or NPCs. This is to enable us to have the numbers of monsters necessary for the sort of combat-heavy game our players enjoy.  At the beginning of the event you will be informed of the times at which you should report to the Refs, and you will be expected to turn up promptly for each “monstering slot”. Failure to turn up or repeated lateness (without good cause) will result in you being refused this type of ticket in future. We will attempt to ensure that IC groups all assist together where possible and hope that being informed of the times you will be assisting in advance will help you to organise your event and make IC excuses for your absence, such as that you're out on patrol, and make sure that any important meetings, etc, occur when you are available. While you will mostly be asked to play various line monsters during this time, you may be asked to help out in other ways, too.

Play Only Surcharge (+£30)

If you only wish to play your character during the event, and do not wish to assist the referees at all, you can do so by paying the Play Only Surcharge in addition to the standard ticket price, bringing the total ticket price to £70 (or £80 if booked less than one month before the event).  This surcharge subsidises the cost of feeding and accommodating the extra full-time crew necessary to keep the monster numbers high. It should be noted that although you will not be asked to monster at any point, under certain, unusual circumstances you may not be able to play your character for all parts of the event. For example, if we run two scenarios which occur sequentially in real time but simultaneously in game time, your character will obviously not be able to be present for both. However, you will not be asked to monster any parts of the event which you cannot play, and may continue to play your character back at camp, or do whatever else you wish.

Assist Only (FREE)

If you are happy to assist the Refs by playing monsters or NPCs for the entire event you can book a FREE Assist Only ticket  We have a limited number of this type of ticket for those who will play the more important and in-depth NPCs for the weekend, as well as helping to organise adventures and encounters.  We expect anyone who assists us to be enthusiastic and dedicated to making the event a successful one.  Although Assist Only tickets are free, we do ask that you contact us in advance to book your Assist Only place where possible. If you book to Assist Only at least one month before the even then we will provide food and, site permitting, indoor accommodation.  This may not be possible if you book late.
